WeRobotics reports that in October 2016 it flew drones in Bukoba, Kagera Region, on the shore of Lake Victoria, to support earthquake recovery, at the invitation of Tanzania’s Ministry of Home Affairs. DanOffice supplied the Cumulus One fixed-wing drone and Pix4D supplied processing software.

Over two days the fixed-wing drone captured more than 3,000 very high-resolution images. A Parrot Bebop2 quadcopter captured angled images of wall cracks, and geotagged ground photos were used to check the aerial imagery. Two staff of the State University of Zanzibar were trained during the mission.
